Melissa Washburn is a graphic designer and mixed media artist based in Northwest Indiana.
By day, Melissa applies her talents to the field of graphic design, most recently at Group 7even in Valparaiso, IN. By night, she creates expressive mixed media artwork. Interested in the place where emotion, memory, and image meet, Melissa's recent work has included reflections on motherhood, explorations of place, and detailed studies of our feathered friends.
Melissa holds a BFA in painting and printmaking from Binghamton University (SUNY) and an MA in Arts Administration from Indiana University Bloomington. She is a 2012-2013 recipient of an Individual Artist Program grant from the Indiana Arts Commission.
